Leeds Autumn Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who attended the Leeds Book Fair on October 6th
Congratulations to Tim Whitcombe for winning the Book quiz and also to Lisa Hamilton and Deborah from Cafe Village in Calverley for providing us with delicious refreshments.
The next fair is on the 1st this event. If you would like to book please find my contact details on this website. You do not have to be a professional bookseller to sell at this fair. Several members of the public have sold collections that have been in their families for some time and one very enterprising young man sold books to raise money for his gap year abroad. Nevertheless, if you do decide to do this, it is best to take some advice from one of our professional sellers about pricing.
For the final fair in Horsforth, Helen’s Home Bakery from Gargrave will be catering for buyers and sellers. I am sure she will bring seasonal fair such as mince pies and Christmas cake.
The Emmaus Community in Leeds, who support homeless men and women in our city will also be taking a table to explain its work and sell donated books.
As many of you have now heard Leeds Book Fair will be moving back to Pudsey Civic Hall at Dawsons Corner from 2014 and we are already taking bookings for this fair. The dates are:
Sunday 2 February
Sunday 6 April
Sunday 14 September
Sunday 9 November
